Addressing cognitive difficulties is a top treatment priority for youth with mental ill-health but this need often goes unmet. Our published survey shows which interventions for cognition are most appealing to youth. Check out our open access article 👇https://t.co/DUqBt0WPBu
Excited to publish our systematic review of systematic reviews investigating the effectiveness of secondary school based interventions for depression and anxiety. The findings suggest targeted interventions are effective in the short-term for anxiety and depression

What a perfect way to end a trip to Sydney - under a jacaranda tree beneath beautiful Mt Kembla 💚💚💚 thank you so much for having me @jo__riley (and Gracie)
Big themes from @hsraanz conference from new president @alipea
- innovation across the sector
- importance of meaningful lived experience involvement at this meeting & lessons learned for future
- value of connection between attendees after 3 years without a f2f meeting

Great question to funders about adding more time to NHMRC and MRFF funded projects to enable more meaningful lived experience involvement. Gov's are generally not comfortable with grants longer than 5 years, making this difficult, but funders are open to extensions...
#HSR22
Effective implementation strategy to keep researchers engaged in a conference = put a panel discussion with major Australian and NZ funders in the final session 😅 never seen such a full last day, well done targeting our motivation @hsraanz#HSR22
Dr Kim O’Donnell from the amazing @AKction2 group, sharing the incredible work they do around empowering patients with lived experience to lead their program and begin to decolonise the research system #HSR22@hsraanz
@VictoriaJPalmer @JoannaFarmer Yes even embedded there can be challenges of expectations! You're so right though Jo, working as closely as possible and early discussions are key, about what decisions will be made depending on outcomes
Dr Sara Kreindler talks about the perils of evaluation, when we get answers and evidence that services don't want to hear. Is this a universal problem? How can we work with services to help prepare them for info they don't expect? #HSR2022
