I will be writing to Parliamentary Commissioner for Standards as in my view, this post is deliberately misleading.
The justification for VAT on private schools was to recruit more teachers.
This is blatantly misleading to make people think it has been successful. In fact, there are now 1,900 fewer teachers by their own statistics. The policy has been a spiteful, dismal failure, to the detriment of many schools and thousands of children.

DARREN JONES: AKA RICHARD HEAD
Trevor Philips Roasts this Starmer Arse-Licker with the Government's claim to help Vulnerable Families, living in Poverty, due to Gov Policy:
£1.70 Discount on a £200 Day Out.
These people are now, officially, taking the piss out of us.
When I came out of being homeless, living, as an "ex-hero" in a car at a motorway services, to take care of my 3 year old disabled son, £200 was, to us, a fortune.
We have NEVER spent anywhere near that much.
So: Thank you Rachel from Accounts on your £150K a year salary and expenses:
BUT JUST FUCK OFF...
Keir Starmer says his “strong leadership” has cut a family of 4 Alton Towers ticket from £200 to £198.36 under the ‘Great British Summer Savings Scheme’.
He said: “It currently costs £200 for a family of 4 to visit Alton Towers but with my great British summer savings scheme that is reduced to £198.36.” (Satire)
The government has confirmed that its new packaging tax will go ahead despite it adding 0.5% to inflation.
Food inflation is expected to rise to 7% by the start of 2027, says the Bank oh England, with the packaging tax a significant factor. The tax is causing not just inflation but also the destruction of the British glass manufacturing sector.
Encirc, which produces roughly a third of all the glass bottles in the UK — 3 billion annually — is threatening to withdraw a £500m investment unless the tax is withdrawn.
But for Labour more tax is always the priority.

Oh this is delicious, resident Cabinet Office Minister and halfwit, Darren Jones loses his shit at Trevor Phillips when asked how the fuck is a £1.64 saving on theme park tickets for a family of 4, costing £200-£250 a good thing.
#trevorphillips: the total cost for a family of 4 going to a theme park would be c.£200 & the savings the govt is offering are £1.64
Jones says these savings are small helpful contributions & many families currently cant afford these trips. But they can when its £1.64 cheaper?
.@ramy_abousetta, @MattRodda's report was published by @theRSAorg back in 2013. Funnily enough, they took it off their website when people started asking questions. (I wonder why?).
The internet never forgets, and you can find it right here.

Hi @ramy_abousetta, great piece about a Reading MP's response to St Joseph College closure in Reading. Have you also asked the SCHOOL's MP, @MattRodda, what HE thinks?
He wrote a report on the harms of disrupting education but he backed this tax. 👇

Phillipson doesn’t give a damn about education.
All she does is push a political narrative that the State is better at caring for children than parents.
Labour are coming for your children. They want obedient, compliant dependent future cash cows who will work and hand over money to the burgeoning state.
Rachel from accounts/customer service needs a better calculator.
A family of 4 travelling from Chester to LEGOLAND in August will cost about £600 once you include the train fare, the shuttle bus, and entry tickets.
That’s before food or paid attractions in the park.
And her big “help for families” is a £5 discount on a LEGOLAND ticket 🤡
An inquiry should be a priority for whoever replaces them. They cannot be allowed to simply walk away from such a disastrous policy failure, not because it’s failed by its own terms, but because inflicting harm on thousands of children was its entire aim. That isn’t governing.
