Today the jury trail begins of Dr Gail Bradbrook, co-founder of @XRebellionUK.
There is mounting concern that, following intense lobbying by fossil fuel industry, the right to trial by jury is under threat for those exposing it lies.

During the second week of Black History Month and 1 day before Indigenous Resistance Day, the School of African and Oriental Studies, SOAS, in London, United Kingdom has now threatened to evict the Walter Rodney Freedom Squares hosting the Glocal Week for Liberating Education.
Threatening the eviction of a Student Union-led week of teach outs furthering the Decolonising SOAS Vision is a testament to SOAS hypocrisy. As an institution, — SOAS is only interested in paying lip-service to decolonisation as a concept,
More worryingly, this eviction violently seeks to invisibilise Indigenous communities and their knowledges.
The week is coordinated between SOAS students and the Majority World Internationalist Solidarity Coordinating Council of Communities of Resistance,
instead of allowing the student body to engage in its practice. This eviction is an erasure and silencing of students seeking to implement the Decolonising SOAS Vision alongside Indigenous, local and grassroots communities across the Global South.
To open the week, in a declaration written by the communities and students, — the students declared: “We cannot have education that is training desk-killers and preparing us for carrying out acts of genocide and ecocide; it should be that we are tested on critical reasoning
The week is part of the Student Union’s events for Black History Month, and is a student-led initiative responding to the Decolonising SOAS Vision agreed by the academic board in 2017, specifically on the point of SOAS publicly declaring a commitment to:
launching the Planet Repairs Action Learning Educational Revolution. Various Indigenous, grassroots and local community leaders implementing planet repairs and furthering self-determination across the Global South are scheduled to give lectures and seminars hybridly.
