Today, we're thrilled to share some exciting news about ÜBERFEST 2026!

After a series of productive discussions between @KritzKast and Valve, we're delighted to announce that there will be official in-game medals for ÜBERFEST 2026.

While we can't reveal the final medal designs just yet (they're currently being worked on), we can already confirm that medals will be awarded to:

- The event champions
- The second- and third-place teams
- All event attendees

The attendee medal will be awarded to everyone involved in the event, including players, community ticket holders, talent, and staff members.

We'll be sharing more details about the medal distribution process in the coming days, but rest assure, we're making it as simple and straightforward as possible.

Finally, we'd like to extend a huge thank you to KritzKast and Valve for helping make this possible. Their support allows us to recognize and celebrate everyone who helps make ÜBERFEST such a special event. 💚

To everyone interested in The Garrison 2026:

We have discussed our invite structure and how it worked during our last iteration of the Garrison in detail both internally and with members of the scene over the past weeks.

One topic that often came up was that an invite structure that is at least likely to invite a third and potentially even a fourth place finisher of the upcoming events that we base our invites on, might not be the optimal approach. A system like this has a very high chance of ending up in a less competitive place - which goes against the core of our mission at BEING ESPORTS.

We have therefore decided that...:

Brazilian Dynasty and Warlords will remain designated invite events, but going forward, only players who finish 1st or 2nd at those tournaments will be eligible to earn a direct invite.

If duplicate invite spots occur across both events, those positions will be reallocated to the Open Qualifier. In that scenario, the Open Qualifier would expand to up to 6 total spots for our main event.

This adjustment ensures direct invites are tied to top performances. Should our open qualifier end up with 6 slots to our main event, the most likely result will be an extension to a total duration of 2 weeks. This will give us the time to make sure that all important match ups can be broadcasted.
