Being a General Category, if you support Reservations or SC/ST act, then you have no idea what's in it for your kids in this country.
If you do not plan on leaving this country, then now is the time to start speaking up.
How to tackle CSAT if you are weak in aptitude?
Every year we get 27-28 questions from reading comprehension.
By this logic, if you just attempt all RCs with 100% accuracy then you will clear the cutoff. But, it is easier said than done.
If you solve last 10 year RCs from PYQs with logic then there is high chance that you will attain at least 80% accuracy in upcoming CSAT which will translate to 55+ marks just from RCs.
(One golden rule to find answer for a question in RC is that instead of looking for right answer, try looking for options that are wrong and eliminate them. The last standing option must be your answer.)
Once you have 55+ marks, all you need is 15 more marks which is 6 questions to clear cutoff.
After RCs move to reasoning questions (seating arrangement, finding height, blood relations, etc). These will be 10 to 12 in number. Of these, solve 6-7 easier ones with 100% accuracy.
You don't need tricks to solve them just basic common sense and being familiar to these type of questions will work. One can be familiar to these type of questions only by solving multiple sets.
After that if time permits then move to questions that can be solved using tricks or simple formulas. For example, questions related to profit and loss, simple interest, etc.
Mind you all the above will work only if UPSC follows its previous year patterns and you practice diligently.
