@mtpennycook @instituteforgov and the idea that you can't meddle in contracts is wild. Thousands of landlords (some unwitting, accidental landlords as trapped leaseholders!) will have the terms of their tenancy agreements changed tomorrow regardless of what any prior piece of paper said for the greater good.

@mtpennycook @instituteforgov It is too little, too slow. Even if full abolition cannot be achieved immediately, there are so many things that you could (and should) have implemented by now that would both alleviate leaseholder suffering AND help the wider housing market. Utterly disappointing.
