Blatant misuse of government platforms by the @INCKarnataka government in Karnataka!

In Hubballi, a publicly funded event was hijacked by Congress leaders and officials — turned into a full-fledged party show. Party banners on stage, Quran recitation in a government function, and officials themselves behaving like Congress workers.

The Hubballi-Dharwad Municipal Commissioner Rudresh Ghali and Zilla Panchayat CEO Bhuvanesh Patil participated like party guests instead of enforcing government protocol. This is a serious breach of administrative ethics and a misuse of taxpayer money.

I’ve written to the Chief Secretary @shalinirajnish demanding an enquiry and immediate action against the concerned officials. If the government fails to act, this issue will be raised strongly in the upcoming Legislative Assembly session.

The @INCKarnataka government in Karnataka has reduced governance to press conferences, social media posts, and blame shifting. As the state faces a worsening drought, farmers are battling delayed sowing, crop losses, mounting debt, and uncertainty. Yet instead of taking decisive action, the government is busy shifting responsibility to the Centre while failing to deliver meaningful relief from its own resources.

What is even more alarming is that Karnataka continues without a full time Agriculture Minister during one of the most critical periods for the farming community. Where is the emergency relief package? Where are the district wise contingency plans? Where are the field visits and direct engagement with distressed farmers? Leadership is demonstrated through action, not announcements.

North Karnataka and Kalyana Karnataka are bearing the brunt of this crisis, but farmers have received little beyond review meetings and political messaging. A government that claims to stand with farmers cannot remain absent when they are facing one of their toughest seasons.

The Congress government must stop treating the Centre as a convenient excuse for every failure. Karnataka’s farmers deserve accountability, immediate relief, and a government that acts before a crisis worsens, not one that looks for someone else to blame after the damage is done.

I have written to Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri @narendramodi seeking urgent intervention in view of the emerging drought situation in Karnataka.

The State has recorded a significant monsoon deficit, delayed kharif sowing, low reservoir storage and increasing stress on agriculture, drinking water and rural livelihoods.

While the Government of Karnataka has already initiated contingency measures and prioritised water conservation, I have requested the Centre to depute a Central Team to assess the situation on the ground and extend timely assistance to support our farmers and strengthen the State’s drought mitigation efforts.

We stand firmly with every farmer and every family affected during this challenging time.

North Karnataka has been taken for granted yet again!

The much publicised divisional meeting at Suvarna Vidhana Soudha was expected to address the region’s long standing concerns on irrigation, industrialisation, infrastructure, employment, and equitable development. Instead, it was reduced to a symbolic exercise with no concrete roadmap, no major announcements, and no commitment to bridge decades of regional imbalance.

While Bengaluru receives a focused allocation of Rs 1.14 lakh crore, North Karnataka continues to be denied the attention and investment it rightfully deserves. This blatant stepmotherly attitude has become impossible to ignore. The people of this region deserve more than speeches and publicity events.

North Karnataka cannot remain an afterthought in Karnataka’s growth story. The government must stop treating this region as a political convenience, make a roadmap for a Rs 2 lakh crore special development package, and deliver the justice, investment, and opportunities that the people have been demanding for years.

Today, I joined Shri Pralhad Joshi, Shri HD Kumaraswamy, Kum. Shobha Karandlaje, Shri V Somanna, Shri R Ashoka, and other senior NDA leaders from Karnataka in meeting the Chief Election Commissioner of India, Gyanesh Kumar, to submit a formal complaint supported by video and photographic evidence regarding serious alleged irregularities in Karnataka’s Special Intensive Revision of electoral rolls.

The issue is deeply disturbing. Booth Level Officers were found to be processing voter enumeration forms within mosques and madrasas instead of conducting mandatory door to door verification, and it has been found that officials were allegedly instructed not to delete the names of deceased, migrated, or non existent voters. The @INCKarnataka government seems to be compromising the integrity of the electoral process for political convenience.

We request the Election Commission to ensure that Every guilty official must be held accountable, every compromised form independently verified, and every allegation investigated without fear or favour. Karnataka deserves free, fair, and transparent elections, not appeasement politics and manipulation of the voters’ list. Democracy cannot be sacrificed for political survival.

What is happening in the name of SIR across Bengaluru, Hubballi, and many parts of Karnataka is a complete mockery of the electoral process. Instead of mandatory door to door verification by BLOs, people are being herded together like a public gathering and voter verification is being reduced to a farce. This is not SIR. This is an organised subversion of the very purpose for which SIR exists.

The @INCKarnataka government appears more interested in protecting its vote bank than protecting the sanctity of electoral rolls. When individual verification is abandoned and mass exercises are encouraged, suspicions of facilitating illegal or dubious entries become inevitable. Democracy cannot function on political convenience, selective scrutiny, and appeasement.

The Election Commission must act without delay, cancel every such compromised SIR exercise conducted across Karnataka, and order a fresh, transparent, and strictly rule based verification process. The people of Karnataka deserve clean voter rolls, not an electoral circus orchestrated for partisan gains.

A special appreciation to Coach Dragan Mihalovic for his leadership and vision, and to Nayan from Udupi, whose steadfast efforts and commitment towards bringing the much-needed reforms and positive changes within the volleyball administration have played an important role in laying the foundation for this success.

Under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji, initiatives such as Khelo India and sustained investments in sports infrastructure and grassroots development are helping transform India into a formidable sporting nation across disciplines.

51 years ago today, on the night of 25th June 1975, India's democracy was suspended to protect one family's grip on power, and it came under the clutches of dictator Indira Gandhi.

ಕೈಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸಂವಿಧಾನದ ಪುಸ್ತಕ ಹಿಡಿದುಕೊಂಡು ನಾಟಕವಾಡುತ್ತಿರುವ ರಾಹುಲ್ ಗಾಂಧಿಯವರೇ, ನೀವು ಮೊದಲು ಇತಿಹಾಸದ ಪುಟಗಳನ್ನು ಒಮ್ಮೆ ತಿರುವಿ ನೋಡಬೇಕಿದೆ. 1975ರ ಜೂನ್ 25ರ ಇದೇ ಕರಾಳ ರಾತ್ರಿಯಂದು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಅಜ್ಜಿ ಇಂದಿರಾ ಗಾಂಧಿಯವರು ದೇಶದ ಮೇಲೆ ತುರ್ತು ಪರಿಸ್ಥಿತಿ ಹೇರುವ ಮೂಲಕ ಅಕ್ಷರಶಃ ಸಂವಿಧಾನದ ಹತ್ಯೆ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದರು.

ಅಂದು ನಾಗರಿಕರ ಮೂಲಭೂತ ಹಕ್ಕುಗಳನ್ನು ಕಿತ್ತುಕೊಂಡು, ಪ್ರಜಾಪ್ರಭುತ್ವದ ನಾಲ್ಕನೇ ಸ್ತಂಭವಾದ ಮಾಧ್ಯಮಗಳ ಧ್ವನಿಯನ್ನು ಅಡಗಿಸಿ, ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರಭಕ್ತ ನಾಯಕರನ್ನು ರಾತ್ರೋರಾತ್ರಿ ಜೈಲಿಗಟ್ಟಿದ ಕರಾಳ ಇತಿಹಾಸ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಕಾಂಗ್ರೆಸ್ ಪಕ್ಷಕ್ಕಿದೆ.

ಕೇವಲ ರಾಜಕೀಯ ಲಾಭಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಸಂವಿಧಾನವನ್ನು ಪ್ರದರ್ಶನದ ವಸ್ತುವನ್ನಾಗಿ ಮಾಡುವುದನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟು, ಅದನ್ನು ಪ್ರಾಮಾಣಿಕವಾಗಿ ಗೌರವಿಸುವುದನ್ನು ಮೊದಲು ಕಲಿಯಿರಿ. ಇಂದು ದೇಶಾದ್ಯಂತ ಆಚರಿಸಲಾಗುತ್ತಿರುವ ಸಂವಿಧಾನ ಹತ್ಯಾ ದಿವಸವು ಅಂದಿನ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಕಾಂಗ್ರೆಸ್‌ನ ಸರ್ವಾಧಿಕಾರದ ಕರಾಳ ಮುಖವನ್ನು ಇಡೀ ಜಗತ್ತಿಗೆ ಮತ್ತೊಮ್ಮೆ ನೆನಪಿಸುತ್ತಿದೆ.

ರಾಜ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ @INCKarnataka ಸರ್ಕಾರ ದಿವಾಳಿ ಆಗಿದೆ. ಸಿದ್ದರಾಮಯ್ಯ ಅವರು ಸರ್ಕಾರದ ಬೊಕ್ಕಸ ಖಾಲಿ ಮಾಡಿ @DKShivakumar ಅವರಿಗೆ ನೀಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಈಗ ಅವರು ಸರ್ಕಾರ ನಡೆಸಲು ಜನರ ಯೋಜನೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಕತ್ತರಿ ಹಾಕಲು ಮುಂದಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

ಗ್ಯಾರಂಟಿ ಯೋಜನೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಜನರು ಮತ್ತೆ ನೋಂದಣಿ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕು ಎನ್ನುವ ಮೂಲಕ ಯೋಜನೆಗಳಿಂದ ಒಂದಿಷ್ಟು ಜನರನ್ನು ಕೈ ಬಿಡುವ ಪ್ರಯತ್ನ ನಡೆದಿದೆ. ಅರ್ಜಿಗಳ ಸ್ವೀಕಾರ, ದಾಖಲೆ ಪಡೆಯವ ನೆಪದಲ್ಲಿ ದಿನ ದೂಡಿ ಗ್ಯಾರಂಟಿ ಹಣದಿಂದ ಸರ್ಕಾರ ನಡೆಸುವ ಪ್ಲ್ಯಾನ್ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ರಾಜ್ಯದ ಜನರು ಸರ್ಕಾರದ ಆಟ ಗಮನಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಮುಂದಿನ ದಿನಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ತಕ್ಕ ಪಾಠ ಕಲಿಸಲಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

The Congress high command should never have shown such public disrespect to a senior backward class leader like @siddaramaiah. The manner in which he is being sidelined today reminds many of how Veerendra Patil was once treated by Rajiv Gandhi. It is unfortunate that a leader with decades of political experience is now being reduced to a casualty of @INCIndia high command politics.

Over the last three years, Karnataka has effectively been treated like an ATM for Delhi leadership. Populist guarantees were announced without financial discipline or long term planning, leaving the state treasury under severe strain. To compensate, the government increased the burden on ordinary citizens through repeated hikes in petrol and diesel prices and rising costs of essential goods, hurting farmers, small businesses, and the middle class alike.

Despite repeated attempts to blame the Centre, facts regarding Karnataka’s GST share, Jal Jeevan Mission allocations, and 15th Finance Commission grants have already been clearly placed in the public domain. Instead of accepting administrative and financial failures, the Congress leadership continues to deflect responsibility. Karnataka deserves governance driven by development, investment, and fiscal responsibility — not political appeasement and high command compulsions.

The @INCKarnataka government’s caste census numbers raise more questions than answers.

For years, Karnataka’s social balance has been well understood. But now, suddenly projecting Muslims as the single largest community appears less like empirical reality and more like calculated political positioning.

This government’s obsession with appeasement politics is no longer subtle. Every major exercise, every narrative, every policy direction seems designed around one agenda: vote-bank consolidation.

If the Congress truly believes Muslims have become the single largest and most socially dominant community in Karnataka, then on what basis does the continued “minority” status politics stand? You cannot simultaneously claim overwhelming demographic strength while continuing to seek exceptional political and institutional concessions under the minority framework.

A caste census must be a serious socio-economic exercise rooted in transparency and credibility, not a political tool to manufacture narratives and divide communities for electoral gain.

Karnataka deserves facts, not tailored statistics meant to suit the Congress party’s politics.

Under the leadership of @JoshiPralhad Ji, we met the Hon’ble Governor of Karnataka, Shri Thawar Chand Gehlot Ji, and submitted a detailed memorandum seeking the bifurcation of the Hubballi-Dharwad Municipal Corporation and the establishment of a separate Municipal Corporation for Dharwad.

The demand for a separate corporation for Dharwad has existed for decades and was earlier supported by the BJP as well. While there were concerns that keeping Hubballi-Dharwad united under the 16th Finance Commission could bring higher development grants, the aspirations and long standing demands of the people remain our top priority.

Responding to public sentiment, Union Minister Shri Pralhad Joshi and I personally led the delegation and urged the Governor to support the formation of a separate corporation for Dharwad.

We highlighted that despite being a historic, educational, and cultural hub, Dharwad continues to face serious infrastructure challenges in roads, drinking water, drainage, and sanitation, while not receiving adequate focus under the existing twin city administrative structure. A separate corporation would help ensure focused planning, efficient administration, and faster delivery of civic services tailored to Dharwad’s needs.

The Governor heard our concerns patiently and assured us that the matter would be brought to the attention of the State Government for appropriate legal and administrative action. Leaders of the separate corporation movement, including Shri B.D. Hiremath, Shri C.S. Neginhal, Shri Machakanur, and several other representatives, were also present.

The so called “3 Years Achievement Convention” of the @INCKarnataka government is actually a celebration of failures, economic burden, and public disillusionment.

In just 3 years, Karnataka has witnessed:
• Property registration fees hiked by 600%
• Power of Attorney stamp duty increased by 500%
• Birth & death certificate fees up by 900%
• Bengaluru Metro fares increased by 50%
• Electricity tariffs up by 14.5%
• Water tariffs up by 30%
• Property tax increased by 25%
• Industrial water tariffs doubled
• Seed prices up by 60%
• Milk prices up by 15%
• Beer prices up by 45%

At the same time, roads, irrigation, electricity infrastructure, and public services have been neglected. Crime rates are rising, women and children feel unsafe, corruption in transfers and public works has become rampant, and the administrative machinery has become completely inactive.

Instead of fulfilling promises made to the people, the government is spending crores of taxpayers’ money on extravagant publicity events to divert public attention.

Karnataka deserves governance, accountability, development, and public safety — not propaganda and self celebration.

The Bhojshala verdict is not just a court judgement. It is a civilizational correction.

After decades of legal, cultural and historical struggle, the Madhya Pradesh High Court has recognised Bhojshala as a temple of Maa Saraswati, the sacred centre of Sanskrit learning established by Raja Bhoja himself.

This is not merely about a structure. It is about reclaiming the memory of Bharat’s intellectual and spiritual heritage. Bhojshala represents Sanskrit scholarship, knowledge traditions, temples of learning and the continuity of our civilization.

Significantly, the Court relied on archaeological evidence, inscriptions, historical records and even the principles evolved in the Ayodhya judgement to affirm that truth and heritage cannot be buried forever.

For generations, countless people fought patiently through constitutional means for this recognition. Today, their faith and perseverance stand vindicated.

A proud and historic moment for everyone who values Bharatiya civilization, Maa Saraswati and our ancient knowledge traditions.

PM Modi is right to warn the world.First came Covid. Then wars. Now an escalating global energy crisis. If this chain of crises continues, decades of progress can be wiped out and poverty can return at a massive scale.

At a time like this, every citizen has a role to play in strengthening India’s resilience.

Reduce unnecessary foreign travel.Cut down fuel consumption and avoid needless commuting.Encourage work from home where possible.Use less cooking oil.Reduce dependence on imported gold.Promote natural farming.Minimise excessive fertiliser usage and support sustainable practices.

National strength is not built only by governments. It is built by collective discipline and responsible choices by citizens.

In times of global uncertainty, economic nationalism and responsible consumption are national duties.
