If we teach our students effectively at KS3, e.g. cover less stuff but teach it REALLY WELL across all four skills, we won't have to rush at KS4 and make it all about acronyms and strategies to pass the exam. #EPI
Presenting on EPI , session 3 of the second round of "Becoming an EPI teacher", to 85 teachers from UK, US, AUS, NZ and otehr parts of the world in about 5 minutes.
See you there @madamednmichael@MrVinalesMFL@JezequelR@charlottetilley @ProfBain etc.
@gianfrancocont9 reflecting on last nights EPI course and thinking about our curriculum for sept. For a summative assessment would you do all 4 skills (r/w/s/l) together or as separate assessments? Grazie
NQT observation. NQT asked a question to the class, a pupil shouted out, NQT replied "If you heard it, steal it, now put your hand up to answer." All hands went up. Pupil smiled. Next question asked, pupil did not yell out. I heard it and will steal it!
Had a go at following @teacherhead ‘s guidance on managing live writing on Google Slides and it worked like a dream. Assigned a single slide to each pupil on a shared Slides resource, and used grid view to monitor pupils’ writing in real time. Lovely stuff 👍🏼
