My Livichun website was loading but the styling was completely gone.
My first thought was “Did I import app.css?”
I didn't trust myself, so I asked ChatGPT for help.
Turns out… I was right. 💀
One missing import. One line fixed everything.
Maybe I should trust me more 💙

I learned Git the hard way.

So today I started my Livichun project again, set up Git + GitHub, made my first commits and finally pushed everything successfully.

Losing work can teach you something you probably should've learned earlier.

Anyway, I'm building with backups now.

Sketched a fresh concept for Livichun Supermarket's site, they don't have one yet, just a project I set myself.
Keeping it simple while I'm learning, so I don't get lost in complexity.
Right call, or is learning where you go all in?

They say your fears are your reality. Mine came true this week.

I lost most of my Livichun Supermarket redesign files to one wrong click.

Lesson learned though, setting up Git from now on.

Well I now have a clean slate to build it better.

Anyone else survived this?

So I chose Livichun, a very competent supermarket in my area, already has a strong digital identity through their social media pages and Google listings.

This is gon' be exciting.

I've tried staying up all night to build something, I've also tried not doing anything at all.

I highly recommend making out time for rest while still giving coding a reasonable amount of attention.

You need sleep to even work well

Believe me, two weeks ago, sveltekit was a strange word to me 😅.

But today, I shipped my "portfolio site", built, designed and deployed by me.

First project done but we're not yet dusted 😂.

Onto the next!

@john_faleke @ekemini58110 Not at all.. even with the degree you must have a reasonable level of computer skills. So degree + skills = the upper hand I was talking about. Especially in a country like Nigeria, that holds degrees to high regard.
