Today, as NC kids go back to school, kids who normally go by their initials - T.J., J.B., J.J., etc. - will now need a signed form filed with the school. Otherwise, they (and teachers) are in trouble.

In my 23 years in education, I have lost nearly 100 students and former students to gun violence. None of them were shot at school. It’s not a school problem, it’s a gun problem. Too many guns and not enough regulation. We don’t need thoughts and prayers, we need legislation.
