The situation with @limebike is a lot better but the lifts remain unreliable and thereโs STILL no API system. An officer told us last year it was up & running - this kind of misinformation is proof of complete lack of accountability and competence.
@MayorofLondon encourages active travel but we need the means! @willnorman how can we make life easier for our cycling commuters who need to cross the river to get to place of work? @London_Cycling@SebDance
@CharlieRWalker Thanks! And sadly true. They don't do scheduling/fix points/write policy and can be really useful during cancellations etc. Makes no sense to make their day awful too. I feel bad it blew up. Though it helped that I didn't need to get that exact train, my next left 5m later!
.@Se_Railway Why only six carriages on the High Speed trains out to Margate? Standing room only after 2 stops and most were left behind. You manage to warn on the app for busy coastal trains and 'take water' but can't foresee extra carriages for outbound Bank Holiday mornings!!!
@PaulHawky@GJecology Hi. I swear I heard a Dartford Warbler calling in Horsted Valley, Chatham on Monday. Do you think it's plausible? I'm no good at audio ID but I do have a recording. Your tweets suggest you are a good person to ask ๐
@Photos2Print@TommyFinlayson Thank you. Although I should have read your bios. I was in Chatham, Kent which is not far from Dartford - where you definitely can't find them! The Merlin app, and subsequently me, were convinced we heard one calling continuously but I don't know if it is plausible.
@Se_Railway@AndyBTravels@LordPeterHendy@Heidi_Labour Appreciate you coming back to this thread. Sorry about your mentions. I had no expectation It would be read by so many, what a ride! It has been interesting to learn a little though sad to realise our area's relative lack of electrification.
@tregorann It looked horrendous, so glad I didn't need to use it.
Apparently the high speed train carriages only come in unsplitable blocks of 6. And it's the only Southeastern electrified line so no others are compatible.Learnt quite a lot from (a few of) the people replying to the tweets
@bustraintravel For me there's only 4 minutes time benefits going via STP rather than DFD but the price jump might be worth it if STP was your best gateway into London. It's a shame if the service is regularly a problem
@James_Delaney18@naciulux7 I know some after Ramsgate definitely are but don't think they are HS stops. No idea how to get that information for the rest.
@Keith_GadgetUK@leyland_123 Pretty sure the main purpose was to make additional use of the lines for Eurostar. Which seems very successful. Not sure how the N Kent coast came into it
@AndyBTravels@Se_Railway@LordPeterHendy@Heidi_Labour Not on the high speed line but there are other trains going along the coastal corridor so perhaps?
And maybe they are listening? Hopefully changes will be easier to make post re-nationalisation.
