How Trellis Transformed My Teaching
"I no longer think, when someone suggest a meeting, oh goodness that's a whole load more paperwork to deal with. I can just think about the child... which is amazing."

@helpfirstai Very exciting to be getting this feedback. A reminder that AI can be a force for good and help solve some of society's most pressing problems.
Teacher say Trellis is a "game-changer" and "Trellis has already helped me be more present”
We know the pressure SEN and ASN teachers are under. Feedback from the Trellis pilot is starting to roll in, and it shows that we’re moving the needle for educators on the front lines.
City AM has actually made an (understandable!) mistake in the lede here. The 76 children figure is *per bat*. With the total budget of the bat tunnel, we could have saved at least 22,800 children from malaria, or housed 6,600 British families for a year.
Of course manufacturing is in decline. Britain has the highest electricity costs in the developed world. The lunacy of NetZero in real life - rather than the fantasy of a ‘green superpower’.
Imagine my surprise at learning that the Online Safety Act is why OpenAI has blocked Sora in the UK, putting us in the same impoverished position as the European Union.

Recycling is a psyop to convince people that plastic can be used abundantly and sustainably without consequences.
Of all the recyclable #5 plasticware waste generated in the US only 1% is recycled.
I'm really fascinated by this dataset from the AI poetry survey paper. Here's another visualization I just made. Survey respondents were shown one of these 10 poems, and either told that they were authored by AI, human, or not told anything.
The real problem with EU cookie banners is that they're still around after several years of achieving nothing but being an annoyance. Mistakes happen. The key is to identify them and correct them quickly. If you can't do that, you're on the wrong path.
I can promise you one thing:
If @matthewclifford had vast amounts of power in the UK political sphere; the UK wouldn’t be the Jaguar brand of the global tech scene. 🤷♂️
The man is brilliant.
Really great and detailed piece on what it would take for the UK to win in AI infrastructure: tl;dr, get serious about nuclear. We have all the levers we need.
