The Ministry of Education has announced that food literacy will be integrated into the curriculum for grades 1-8. This is a positive step forward to ensuring the next generation develops the necessary skills & knowledge to make healthy food choices & plan and prepare meals.

Let the outdoor growing really begin! First plantings here all got in the ground before the rain - Peas, beans, carrots, beets, turnip, radish, etc! Strawberries look like they came through the winter reasonably well and we're back up to our full acreage this summer!
