I don’t know how but I’m becoming convinced that @Giannis_An34 will be a @Lakers and team up with @lukadoncic following this season.

He will be a weird fit with Bam, will resist signing an extension and they will be a first or second round exit.

Lakers will make cap space and sign him outright.

The 1sts the Bucks get are wild:
Pick 20 in 2026 from Hawks
2027 Bulls (top-8 protected)
2027 Spurs: (unprotected)
2030 Mavericks (unprotected)
2032 wolves (unprotected)

Only other team that can offer anything like this is OKC and the money doesn’t make sense for them to make a play at Giannis- plus Bucks get an all-star point guard in need of a change of scenery.

Grizzlies: love this trade for them - they are sort of losers of the deal on the surface but getting off Morant for Lavine is a huge win. Lavine can help them try to avoid a bottom three record and his expiring leaves them with a massive amount of cap space in 2027. Getting Acoff at 5 over Boozer at 3 gives them a higher upside star of the future. They would be in a great position to add star power in 2027.

Clippers: they get a lot here for taking on the final two years of Ja Morant’s contact and all of the questions around him but this deal makes perfect sense for them. With kawaii out to start the season, Morant brings in potential star potential- and could be motivated to earn a second max in a huge market. If he doesn’t clippers get best available at 3 and 7.

King: they want Acoff because they need a lead guard who can space the floor efficiently with Sabonis. Garland is the realized version of this and a massive upgrade over lavine. The cost of the 7th pick isn’t that high as we are clearly in the role player tier of the draft at that point - plus they move a negative asset in Lavine
