@Ryanair adds 9th aircraft at Birmingham for Winter 2026! ✈️

This additional aircraft will deliver 5 exciting new routes to Copenhagen, Rome Fiumicino, Warsaw Modlin, Marrakesh and Tirana.

Ryanair has also increased frequencies on another 7 routes, including top city break destinations like Barcelona, Poznan and Budapest offering Ryanair’s customers in the West Midlands with even more low-fare choice and regular connections this Winter.

Representing a US$900m investment in the West Midlands and supporting over 3,270 local jobs.

Saudia has removed its 🇸🇦Jeddah - 🇬🇧Birmingham route from sale for Summer 2027

As it stands, Saudia will only serve 2 UK airports in 2027 - London Heathrow and Manchester. Further changes likely

Saudia have now removed all flights from sale for Birmingham Airport (BHX) for the foreseeable future. Initially it was only winter 2026 that was removed, with 2027 flights still bookable, but now all flights have been removed from the system.

Flights at Birmingham Airport are currently being disrupted by a strong thunderstorm affecting the area.

The cell is bringing frequent lightning, hail and torrential rain, with a number of inbound flights currently holding.

A runway change has now taken place, which will allow normal operations to resume (R33). However, widespread disruption is still expected across the UK today as more showers develop later in the afternoon. We will be monitoring BHX's progress throughout the day.

🚨 Birmingham Airport (BHX)

Reduced Runway Capacity
Detail: Reduced runway capacity due to current operating configuration. Arrival holding and delays are being observed.

Flights are currently not permitted over the north of the airport. Departures currently taking off on runway 15 (towards Coventry) and landing on runway 33 (over Coventry).

Diversions have already been detected; expect high delays whilst this continues.

Baggage operations remain stable today as recovery plans are continuing to prove successful. Passengers do not need to worry and should continue to arrive at the airport in line with the airline’s advice.
