For those who will attempt to overturn the #ERA, I say this: you cannot abide by the Constitution only when it suits your purposes. You cannot say you believe in equality of the sexes and still try to strike down the ERA. The ERA has met all the requirements of the Constitution.

Thank you, President Biden, for recognizing that there is no deadline on equality. The Equal Rights Amendment has satisfied all the requirements laid out in Article V of the Constitution. It is the 28th Amendment.

This day is long overdue, not only because it should have taken place 2 years after VA became the 38th state to ratify #ERA in 2020. Our country is nearly 250 years old. American women have waited long enough to be explicitly recognized as full equals in the Constitution.

It’s critical that EVERY vote be counted. Patience can be difficult at times but we know our neighbors in Pennsylvania know quite a bit about democracy and will allow election workers to complete their important task.

Dealing with the grief of my miscarriage was hard enough — I can’t imagine living in fear of being prosecuted for what happened to me or not getting necessary health care.

But that's what some women & doctors now face because Trump-appointed justices overturned Roe v. Wade.
