Baby blues were great for the WC. It made sense. Back to where the game began/back to the first jersey. That’s a throwback.

A remix is taking what you have & giving it a new updated flavor while keeping the integrity of the popular

YES! - it’s called a hometown remix jersey, not a throwback/vintage jersey. Nothing about blue represents PGH. Not the sports, not the rivers, & certainly not the sky. The only thing blue currently reps is the line where Pens players often turn the puck over.

My $0.02 on the Penguins' new jersey:

1.) I - a 47-year-old with more appreciation for disposable income than when I was 17 - am not the intended audience.
2.) It's pro sports. Not pro bono sports. These are revenue.
3.) Polka dots are a miss.
4.) Blue dilutes the team's brand.

Others actually have “hometown” representative items
