Yeah, pretty much all of them. The cities driving those states’ high murder rates—Jackson in Mississippi, Memphis in Tennessee, New Orleans in Louisiana, Birmingham in Alabama, and Albuquerque in New Mexico—are all run by Democrat mayors. Jackson’s mayor John Horhn is a Democrat, Memphis’s Paul Young is a Democrat, New Orleans just elected Democrat Helena Moreno, Birmingham’s Randall Woodfin is a Democrat, and Albuquerque’s Tim Keller is a Democrat. That’s the pattern in these high-crime spots.
