Peraltro, basta fare un'analisi storica su come intendessero i greci la bellezza e qual è l'esatto significato di "bianche braccia".
Nella cultura greca antica, la bellezza era associata alla bianchezza della pelle. Più questa era pallida, quasi eterea, e più la donna era considerata bella. Tant'è che le donne aristocratiche cercavano di non esporsi al sole per non abbronzarsi e diventare così "popolane".
Peraltro, seppure sia vero che le donne greche erano mediterranee e dunque per lo più avessero i capelli scuri e gli occhi castani o neri, il popolo greco confinava con i popoli illirici, i traci e i macedoni, e dunque, attraverso "contaminazioni" etniche, non era così improbabile trovare donne e uomini dai capelli biondi e/o con gli occhi azzurri. Tant'è, per esempio, si dice che Alessandro Magno (macedone) avesse i capelli biondi (famosa è la storia del leone raccontata da Plutarco). Lo stesso Omero, poi, descrive Achille e altri eroi come uomini dai capelli biondi, e lo fa anche con i "barbari" del nord (cioè traci, macedoni e illirici). I traci poi potevano essere alti, robusti e con i capelli rossi o biondi. La dea tracia Bendis viene descritta con i capelli chiari.
Ora qualcuno ha scritto questa benemerita idiozia: "l'Odissea non è mica un fatto storico, è un fantasy antico. Dunque, liberamente interpretabile."
Una simile affermazione denota ignoranza perché non sa distinguere il fantasy dal mito. Il mito è un racconto radicato in una precisa cultura ed etnia. Tutto ciò che ruota intorno al racconto mitologico ha un substrato culturale, etnico e religioso preciso. Non è un fantasy, dove ci puoi mettere nani, elfi, astronavi e alieni e fare un'allegra insalata etnica senza che qualcuno ti dica alcunché, anche se nani ed elfi, invero, appartengono alla mitologia nordica e dunque anche qui si porrebbe lo stesso problema visto per l'Odissea.
Il fenomeno che spinge a rileggere le opere letterarie storiche e mitologiche con gli occhi dell'ideologia woke è semplicemente una variante aggressiva e manipolativa del "presentismo storico", uno dei fenomeni più detestati perché usa i canoni "culturali" moderni (spesso ideologici) per leggere gli eventi e le culture del passato.
