March 17: Feast Day of St. Patrick of Ireland

St. Patrick is the 5th-century bishop from Roman Britain who was called from a young age by Christ to spread the light of the gospels to the people of Ireland, rescuing them from the tyranny of druids and paganism.

Since then, Ireland has been a land of saints and scholars, who have followed the example of St. Patrick’s humility and zeal to spread the faith to other lands, including here in America.

After much reflection, I have decided to resign from my position as Director of the National Counterterrorism Center, effective today.

I cannot in good conscience support the ongoing war in Iran. Iran posed no imminent threat to our nation, and it is clear that we started this war due to pressure from Israel and its powerful American lobby.

It has been an honor serving under @POTUS and @DNIGabbard and leading the professionals at NCTC.
