Today, I presented the 2025 Budget Proposal of N936 billion, christened "Budget of Fiscal Consolidation," to the state assembly. The 2025 Budget is N211 billion more than the 2024 approved budget, which represents an increase of 29 percent. As an administration, our priority remains to ensure microeconomic stability through fiscal discipline and judicious allocation of resources, expand economic activities, create opportunities for our teeming youth population, bolster public service efficiency for optimum service delivery, and lend support to the poor and vulnerable.
Interestingly, road infrastructure took the lion's share of the proposed 2025 budget, with the sum of N230 billion. With the presentation of the 2025 Budget Proposal, we reaffirm our commitment to the progress and prosperity of our great state. The budget is a blueprint for a brighter future anchored on transparency, accountability, sustainability, and growth. I enjoined members of the state assembly to work with the executive to make the plans in this budget document a reality and build a state that is just, prosperous, and inclusive.

As a testament to our commitment to infrastructural development as captured in the MORE Agenda and my promise to complete inherited on-going projects from the immediate past administration, today, His Excellency Senator Ademola Nurudeen Jackson Adeleke inaugurated the Okpanam/Ibusa Bypass Road with accompanying drainages.
This road represents more than a transportation route, it symbolises connection, progress, development, and economic growth of the impacted communities.
At the event , I urged contestants for the forthcoming Local Government elections to uphold the tenets of democracy and play by the rules and be tolerant of divergent views. The fact remains that it is only under a peaceful atmosphere that government can Chanel all available resources for sustainable development.
This is the third phase of palliatives from the Delta State government. We urge all Deltans to visit their various LGAs to collect their palliatives. Truly, our Governor cares for the good people of Delta State.

In continuation of inauguration of projects to mark my First Anniversary in office, it was a great pleasure today as I commissioned the First Phase of the Emevor/Ivrogbo/Orogun Road with accompanying Drains. This is in fulfilment of my pledge to complete inherited projects from the previous administration. I am proud to say that this road was constructed by an indigenous contractor who has delivered on the job.
The commissioning of this road project will grant our farmers easy access to their farms and surrounding communities.
During the ceremony, I directed the Honourable Commissioner for Works, Rural and Riverine to immediately start the scoping of the Second Phase of the Emevor/Ivrogbo/Orogun road project. My administration will keep doing MORE for our people.
Governor Sheriff Oborevwori officially commissioned the highly anticipated Phase 1 of the Emevor/Orogun Road project today, fulfilling his commitment to complete ongoing infrastructure projects.
Hon. Charles Aniagwu, Commissioner for Works (Rural and Riverine Roads), detailed the project's scope as follows; a 4.04-kilometre road with 5.555 kilometres of drainage and a pavement width of 10 meters. He highlighted the significant benefits, including better community infrastructure, improved flood control, and economic growth.
The newly inaugurated road is expected to enhance access to farms, villages, and neighbouring local governments, supporting the Governor's broader development agenda for the advancement of Delta State.
Additionally, Governor Oborevwori announced the disbursement of over N1 billion to the contractor responsible for the College of Health Sciences project at Delta State University of Science and Technology, Ozoro. He assured that this key project would be completed by October.
