@MarkWitton@JoschuaKnuppe It seems to me that this may be viable, especially if rotation of the vertebrae is involved. I don’t know how sensible that would be biomechanically, but if the centra rotate to keep the spines more parallel, then the tail curvature is more vertical and your diagram seems to work
