Corporate entities like Boeing are extremely sensitive to anything that hurts their bottomline, when oversight is imposed, & take away their money. They straighten up pretty quickly. Money is a string motivator.

@5thofhennessy @TheAviationBeat I find Medallion status with @Delta a waste of time and energy. I would drop cash on Qatar Airways in a heartbeat over Delta and get my money’s worth. I guess Qatar Airways engineers a perception of luxiry and quality better than Delta. Global airlines get compared and measured.

From the newer A359 (the trims looked dilapidated for a 5-year old aircraft at that time) to the ancient B764, B752 and the A332/333. They are all unimpressive lie-flat seats. Even the suites in the A359 is poor execution.

@5thofhennessy @TheAviationBeat Is there premium in @Delta? Delta One? The only premium about it is price tag. Quality is subpar with truly premium Airlines. Domestic first class does not count. It’s just an engineered perception of premium. There’s truly nothing to it. Just glorified refreshments & seats.

@MarioNawfal Been on this flight. Clocked in 18 hrs, 47 mins (from full throttle until moment the rear landing gear touched the ground). I watched movies, ate, used the lavatory, slept, woke up star gazed, and repeated 3x... Are we there yet? Good thing it's all business and premium economy.

@MaxRovensky @MicroSBs @TheAviationBeat I fly to Europe at least 3-4x a year. I always fly Turkish for their domestic business class that’s similar to US domestic first. Other airlines in Europe are merely economy seats with middle seats blocked off, plus catering. In US domestic first, catering is not always included.

@MicroSBs @MaxRovensky @TheAviationBeat JetBlue’s Mint is a lie-flat seat product on narrow body aircraft flying similar routes. @AmericanAir���s transcon narrow body has both domestic first and domestic business class (both lie-flat) that are way better than what @Delta is offering.

Airlines like @Delta does not really have equivalent products you expect to match the likes of Qatar Airways for example. The differences are noticeable in a number of ways…
