@clairelzbeth Criminally underrated moment.

[Senator Rob Black, P. Ag. (Hon) @SenatorRobBlack]

This morning I was glad to meet with representatives of @RailCanada, @CNRailway and @CPKCrail. We had a good discussion about current rail trends in Canada and extended interswitching. @SenateCA #AgMatters

The Minister at the Ormstown Fair, that’s a bucket list item.

[Marie-Claude Bibeau @mclaudebibeau]

Rural fairs across Canada are opening their gates for the summer, like the @OrmstownFair in #Quebec.

It's uplifting to see rural communities come together, and to see @4HQuebec and École-O-Champ promoting the future of #CdnAg!

[Marie-Claude Bibeau @mclaudebibeau]

In the face of devastating floods last year, #BC farmers showed courage & resilience.

Today, @LanaPopham & I met with affected producers and listened to their stories. I know that nothing can erase what happened, but we will be there every step of the way as the sector recovers.

Farmers don’t get the recognition they deserve for how dangerous their work can be, or how much focus they put on safety. Glad to celebrate #AgriculturalSafetyWeek!

[Marie-Claude Bibeau @mclaudebibeau]

During #AgriculturalSafetyWeek, everyone can help raise awareness about dangers on the farm!

My colleague @L_MacAulay and I will meet with @SecVilsack in #WashingtonDC.

If fresh PEI potatoes are safe for other Canadian provinces, they are safe for all of Canada's trading partners.

Here is my message 👇 #CdnAg

[Marie-Claude Bibeau @mclaudebibeau]

J’arrive à #WashingtonDC. Je viens rencontrer mon homologue @SecVilsack 🇺🇸 pour parler de la reprise du commerce des pommes de terre fraîches de l’Île-du-Prince-Édouard.

[Marie-Claude Bibeau @mclaudebibeau]

I have arrived in #WashingtonDC. I’m here to meet with my counterpart @SecVilsack 🇺🇸 to talk about resuming the trade of fresh #PEI potatoes.

This morning, South Korea announced that it would lift the temporary suspension on 🇨🇦 beef imports imposed last month after the discovery of an atypical BSE case in Alberta. Great news for our cattle sector, who provide the world with safe, high-quality beef #CdnBeef #CdnAg

One of so many great projects the Local Food Infrastructure Fund has helped make possible! We are working towards a healthier and more sustainable food system in Canada, and that starts with fighting food insecurity at the local level #LFIF #CdnAg

Our Gov has announced $28M in support of #PEI potato farmers to divert their surplus fresh potatoes to food banks, other markets and responsible disposal. By working together we will reopen the US market and support farmers through this difficult situation https://t.co/ViqsVRTZXs

While surveying the #BCflood damage, @lanapopham and I could see how the water has receded from the farm fields near the Fraser River. With 500 farms still under evacuation orders, we saw the great efforts underway below to restore critical infrastructure and clean up the damage.
