BREAKING NEWS: The Japanese government has approved an increase in visa fees for Nigerians and other foreign nationals following a revision of a related Cabinet order.

Under the new structure, the fee for a single-entry visa will rise from ¥3,000 ($18.60) to ¥15,000 ($92.99), while a multiple-entry visa will increase from ¥6,000 ($37.20) to ¥30,000 ($187.97).

The revised fees will apply to applications submitted on or after July 1.

Since I watched that interview on Friday where Arabambi accused Mr. Peter Obi of running away with Labour Party money worth N12 billion and $15 million, I now have reasons to believe Oga is not as holy as they packaged him 😏

1. How can a man who, as a sitting governor, used to follow his driver to the filling station just to buy fuel of ₦3,500 suddenly become Father Christmas now thar he's no longer in office? Donation everywhere 💸😂

2. The speed at which he abandoned Labour Party is suspicious. Oga did not even pretend to fight. He was like, “I just want to leave.” 🤣

3. When his loyal dogs could not account for campaign funds, did you hear any outrage from him?

Any demand for accountability?

While I commend Nigeria for passing this Bill, I think this is not good enough.
30% simply means Crushing and Grinding, Concentration/Beneficiation, Dewatering & Drying. This is not good enough 🚫🇳🇬

Real wealth comes from 70% to 100% processing and finished products, not semi-cleaned minerals 🪨💰

I’m also concerned about loopholes in this policy.
Without clear standards, it’s open to Misinterpretation & abuse.
For example: companies can crush stone, bag it, export it, and call it “processed.” Who’s checking? 🧐⚠️
On top of that, Nigeria is lacking infrastructure.
Where are the smelters? The power supply? The skilled workers?
You can’t enforce this policy with poor roads and no electricity 🔌🚧

Ajaokuta is still not operating efficiently. Are we going to depend on China again to provide the machines? 🤔
What I fear is that foreign mining companies will bring in their own equipment, do the 30% themselves using foreign workers, export the resources, and leave our environment and economy worse off 💨🌍

And let’s not forget, it is the same old greedy hands benefiting from raw exports.

How can they be trusted to enforce change that cuts into their own profits? 🤑🎭

If Nigeria is truly serious, let’s talk about 70% and above.
Let’s process, refine, build, and own our value. 🇳🇬🔥
Not just pass policy for applause, but drive real change for our future.
