Honored to have spoken at the premier Africa Blockchain Festival 2025 in Kigali, an incredible event that brought together delegates from across the world, highlighting Africa’s growing influence in the blockchain space.

I joined the panel discussion on “The Future of Work,” speaking about the rise of grassroots communities empowering young Africans with real world digital skills and mentorship. While hands-on, localized, and community driven learning is making real progress, we still need to address outdated curricula, limited resources, and the gap between learning and jobs through sustained ecosystem support. Aptos highlighted, the next generation blockchain enabling the world where values, assets, and ideas can thrive.

It was awesome having Aptos presence at the event, with our exhibition booth showcasing what’s possible when technology meets opportunity. The energy and curiosity from attendees were simply motivating.

Great work and congrats to @Olubxnmi, @InfluencerDee, and the entire ABF team for putting together such a well organized and impactful experience.

The future of blockchain in Africa is bright, and @Aptos will be at the forefront!

Two things stand out:

🔹 Nigeria is in a league of its own. Nearly 60% USDT ownership. Dollar-denominated savings aren't optional when your local currency loses value daily.

🔹 USDC is catching up. In Colombia, South Africa, US, Germany, and Brazil, USDC ownership actually exceeds USDT. The regulated stablecoin is gaining ground.

USDT still leads globally. But the gap is narrowing fast.
