@MickWest I don't believe this is a thing, but to play devil's advocate, I'd say it doesn't promote scientific exploration of the hypothesis--it puts it solidly in the realm of "fantasy."

So when it's brought up in a scientific setting, you can mockingly whistle the X-Files tune.

I removed Twitter and FB from my phone. I still have them on my home PC, where I can make the conscious choice to engage--or not. Not having these particular distractions in my pocket has been incredibly liberating.

10/10 would recommend.

I mean ffs, free speech is NOT a partisan issue, but the term "free speech" has been co-opted and weaponized by extremists to mean "I can be a bigot without consequences."

Musk easily could have been a unifier. Someone who says, Look, I know people are worried, but we are going to do this right, and it'll be better in the long run. Let's work together.

Instead, like many rich & powerful ppl today, he chose division, scapegoating, and "othering."
