A critically endangered Diademed sifaka hanging on for dear life—but losing grip on existence in this world.

Madagascar is stricken with extreme poverty, so hunting these large sifakas for bushmeat has soared, even in protected areas. Slash-and-burn for timber and sugar cane plantations for illegal rum is destroying their food trees.

Touchingly, they diligently patrol their territory every morning, carefully scent marking their trees to protect it—but they are defenseless against the ravages we inflict on them.

Long-lived and slow-to-reproduce, now also with high infant mortality (50%), wasting in adults and stunting in immatures as we systematically remove their means to exist.
The tiny, isolated groups in the fragmented reserves may already be genetically non-viable long-term.

The court heard that 22 year old Ilia Belov had said “hello sexy, I'll show you a good time”to a 13 year old girl who was with a group of friends aged 12-14.

He then called his sister to help him assault the girl for ‘disrespecting him’ after she called him a ‘creep’.

The 13 year old was dragged to the ground by her hair and hit her head on a metal railing.

Despite this, many commentators blamed the girls for being ‘racist’ towards migrants and claimed that Belov was the victim.

This case has echos of the grooming gangs in towns such as Rotherham, where young white girls being raped and abused were ignored by police for fears of being called racist.

Remember, every person who says they are disgusted by the Supreme Court judgment is admitting that:

They’re disgusted that female sexual assault survivors might meet in a support group to open up about their trauma, without men being present.

They’re disgusted that lesbians can socialise exclusively with other lesbians, without men being present.

They’re disgusted by new mothers gathering together to discuss breastfeeding or post partum problems, without men being present.

They’re disgusted that girls can play sport with other girls and shower, change and dress, without boys being present.

They’re disgusted that organisations - which realise they are too male dominated - can’t fill any female quotas with other men.

They’re disgusted that vulnerable female prisoners and arrestees can’t be searched by men or kept in a cell with other men.

They’re disgusted that women can have their own things.

They’re disgusted by the Equality Act 2010.

They’re disgusted by the law.
