I'm professor at Sorbonne Université and work on perturbative QCD, beyond the Standard Model phenomenology, LHC physics, dark matter and particle physics tools.
@lignesNetU_SNCF Bonjour Nathan.
The #Hive Rally Aftermovie is here- check out an incredible intersection of what's possible via Hive's blockchain ecosystem with the most eye-catching example in web3!
No other protocol has ever taken the fast, feeless, fearless message to a world class event as more than just a paid ad stunt, so we want to break down why it matters 👇
🚗💨 Hive is a blockchain that powers all of the parts of a decentralized future. Fast and feeless transactions are the core of our opensource blockchain code, are how our $HIVE and $HBD cryptocurrencies function, and make our information sharing ledger and social relationships viable for any end user or project integration. Needing to spend your assets just to use your assets is a drain that makes growth difficult and creates barriers between people and technology, which is a big step backwards when it comes to the evolution of #web3.
The Hive rally car is powered by the same ethos- community owned, community backed, community driven, and a form of community outreach to bring everyone- not just super technical early adopters- towards a future that can be made better with blockchain. The journey to #RallyeMonteCarlo is more than just a historic roadway; you can trace the Hive car alongside a real community using a multitude of everyday life tools, directly on the ledger.
Starting with a passionate rally enthusiast posting personal blogs and photography to social front ends like @ecency_official@PeakDcom@LiketuOfficial about global races and his future as a rally driver. Spreading to other individual community members using p2p crypto to help fund his early races using no-fee transactions and planning for the future with end-to-end encrypted messages between usernames that are wallet addresses and self-sovereign key verified identities, secured by tools like @HiveKeychain or @hiveauth.
From the growing on-chain racing community encouraging and backing non-corporate, trustless Hive DHF (DAO ) funding to purchase a vehicle to wrap in Hive livery designed by graphic artists posting digital art on @NftShowroom with no need for outside sponsorship, and creating an incredible team of co-driver and mechanics from talented Hivers around the world. Expanding to being project managed by more talented community members doing accounting on the blockchain and moving needed funds around the world in under a second via Hive for no cost, while bringing together even more people who are celebrated videographers, editors and photographers to use @3speaktv@joinTravelFeed to recap adventures and results, or @inleoio to create live race threadcasts and leverage evergreen content rewards.
This aftermovie is what a truly connected web3 world looks like: bringing people, talents, ideas and tools together to create better experiences- and it can be replicated, fearlessly, by anyone who wants to use Hive. VC funding, corporate ownership, and founders can create hyped up crypto starts, but only a dedicated community building equitable tools, bootstrapping an ownerless protocol and working together to integrate web3 into their lives can create lasting impact and the future of this technology.
That's fearless.
If you made it this far, you've only just scratched the surface of what the Hive blockchain ecosystem can do, whether you are an end user or a builder or a dev or a passionate financial freedom advocate or a citizen journalist or even just someone who likes to browse social media sometimes. There's more, waiting for you on chain and here in our community-
it's time to #getonHive ♦️
@viennalex@hiveblocks I personally like Hive. The reason why I am away for a year is that I am running out of time. I hence definitely have no time for interacting on chain (or on any online platform, twitter/discord included).
For all scientists I discussed with, time is always the major problem.
@devanand_t I will not claim that those PIs do not exist. But they are far from being the norm as far as I know. This year, out of 250+ applicants at my institute, I have read 2 of such letters. However, these negative letters were not necessary. The CVs were sufficient to make my decision.
@devanand_t Letters indeed fix the career. However, they are really needed. How would a PI choose who will be his next postdoc among hundreds of candidates without letters? On the other hand letters must stay confidential and not accessible to rhe candidate. I think it is important...
