I've had the pleasure to write for The Drinks Business.
This time writing about the Ahr flood and the future of the region after this terrible destruction.

There are some excellent wineries in the recommendations that can certainly be considered the 'Rising Stars of Alsace'!
Always happy to help when it concerns Alsace.

In my recent article on @Jancis_Robinson I've described some developments in the field of Alsace Syrah!
René Muré already has one bottled, if you want to taste Syrah d'Alsace you should look for it.
I've recently had the pleasure to write an article for @JancisRobinson @Jancis_Robinson , on Alsace Pinot Noir.
And I am personally quite excited that it is online. If you have a membership to the website, I hope you enjoy reading the article!

@peterarijs Easy, that would be Alsace! Amazing diversity of grape varieties, Dry white, sweet white, a growing quality of Rosé, growing quality of Pinot Noir and naturally the second largest producer of sparkling wine (Crémant d'Alsace)!
“I’m sure that Crémant d’Alsace will be the trend in wine sales in the near future" says David Jaegle of Cave de Ribeauvillé!
Have you tried a glass of Crémant d'Alsace yet?!

As you might have noticed, I am attempting to write a book on Alsace, my expertise! This book will contain Alsace. Which wineries to write about? Which to not write about? What details matter and what does not? The 119 villages and 11 million+ litres require a new wine book!
.@ZelenskyyUa's tv address to the Russian (!) people might be the most moving speech that I've ever seen in my entire life. The whole world needs to see, understand and share this crucial Ukrainian message.

Wine stock of the French Army. Prior to the Battle of Gallipoli, 1915.
This was one of the major defeats in WW1. The Ottoman Turks won, together with their allies (the Germans and Austria-Hungary).
Obviously not my photo. Photo was shared by @Historic_guy on FB.

@wblakegray Yes! I do the same, especially with long days of tasting (150+ per day) it is much more palatable to start with red and then refresh the palate with white.
