A slightly shitter version of the current crest, could be worse I guess. Pleased we didn't some circular MS paint abomination that seems to be the trend these days

@bensprattjourn I could see the logic in your original point around it being overly harsh to do the punishment over several seasons, but since the Β£900m reveal I don't care what happens. It sucks for the fans but it's flagrant cheating on a mind-blowing scale, not 114 minor disputes.
Who actually cares about the number of shots faced? The quality of the shots faced has been abysmal, Hornicek has had to make about 2 proper saves, and of the 4 goals we conceded, 1 was a pen and 2 were freak goals yesterday #nufc
@FoxyN77@AdamClery The original fee is a sunken cost - it's not relevant to the future business we do for him (aside from the PSR rules delaying the inevitable sale).
I said a while ago on a podcast somewhere that I thought Newcastle jumped the gun with the rebuild, it worked out short term with a lovely Wembley trip & trophy, but long term buying 25, 26, 27, 28 year olds for big money when you basically have a full squad to improve post-Ashley makes things hard.
This summer feels like theyβve stepped back, reassessed and began walking down a new path that looks beyond just this season. The huge change in age of their signings and market theyβre operating in is really positive, imo. Look at Brighton, Brentford, Bournemouth etc.
Newcastleβs aspirations will always be higher than those clubs because of their size but, you canβt just buy top talent for top money unless youβre one of the 6 proper powerhouses in England.
Whether it was forced because of the departures or, if Howe left because he didnβt fit into the new directionβ¦ this is the right step I feel
