I’m getting beyond frustrated though, because like 5 different people in my life have said to me “I’ve heard The Odyssey is bad” bc the stupid “backlash” is the only thing that comes across their feeds.
I hate this world.
@LunarHollanDaYz@holland_tom Helen of Troy is not that big of a role in The Odyssey. If you actually gave a shit about thr source material as you claim you do, you would know that
@PublicJonn43575@IMDBorg Stop spreading this bullshit. Variety did the research on this and every best picture nominee in the 98 year history of the Oscars would qualify under the new rules. Thats how easy it is to qualify. Oppenheimer was an almost all white cast

@ref513 Lots of the people who have seen ky and r tweeting about it are top critics at organizations like The Guardian, Empire, Total Film, Time Out, The Wrap, Indiewire, etc. Most of these are not critics
By "no influencers" they clearly meant people like Supes and tiktokers of his ilk
@_ShauryaChawla@lucam8a And that one comment/reaction was from David Ehrlich who isnt high on Nolan and even gave Oppenheimer just a B/3.5 on letterboxd
Reading his reaction, I would bet he gives the same rating(s) to The Odyssey
@Visicert The least charitable reaction so far was from David Ehrlich who still liked the film (I'd bet his review score is a B judging just his tweet), and he gave Oppenheimer a 3.5 on Letterboxd and a B on indiewire. And u say Oppenheimer is Nolan's best
Ehrlich just isnt big on Nolan

Confident, stupid, and wrong.
Even Christopher Nolan's last movie was an all white cast and that movie won 7 oscars including Best Picture. So no. Try again
