@athiestboi Yeah, an artist's impression, created millennia later by someone who didn't know the cause of navels, only that a 'perfect' body needs one.
@bestofStarTrek I rate it as generally an 8. Like the later seasons of TNG, the scriptwriting was fresh and even if you hated the stories or characters, you had to recognise that they were written well.
@did8hurtu The shuttle yawed in near-vacuum. The follow up 'S-Turns' took place when the velocity was *much* lower and were to decelerate more before landing. It was still in fairly thin air, though.
@sashuwa77246 You're misinterpreting his words. He MEANT that they havening been BACK and that was the only reason why no-one had ever been back to the Moon. As an engineer, he knew that there was no practical reason beyond unwillingness to fund the mission.
@Ernest1588761 The violence didn't actually start until after the first millennium of Christianity and the name should have been given inverted commas due to the doctrinal shifts towards pagan Greco-Roman traditions that now dominated the dominant dogma.
@sashuwa77246 Because everything rotates with the planet at the same speed including the atmosphere. So, in effect, the Earth's rotational speed is the relative standstill for any object, even something flying.
@did8hurtu No, it is an attractive force towards the system's centre of mass. For us, it's the centre of the Earth; for comets, it's typically the sun. In the case of that recent 'interstellar' object, it was the centre of the galaxy.
@God_Questioner It helps if you discard the Jesus = God dogma. It also helps if you discard the idea that Mary was 'impregnated' by any crude physical act.
