Honored to be a part of this film. Thank you James Hawes, Johnny Flynn, Helena Bonham Carter, and the entire cast and crew. Always a pleasure to work with my dear friend Jonathan Pryce, you’re #1 in my book. 😎😎

Our guest this episode is @sam_gerson, who joined me on a visit to Trellick Tower in 2016. Together we learn to love all things brutal, and maybe we'll win you over too...
The newest episode of The Benjamin's Britain podcast is out, and this time we are discussing Ernő Goldfinger's Trellick Tower - the infamous 1970s, brutalist, tower block in west London. Total eyesore or inspiring architecture??

Sycamore Gap, 2021. If you’re feeling angry or upset about its senseless felling this week, and want to do something positive, consider supporting the @nationaltrust
The sycamore tree on Hadrian’s Wall is as close as our culture got to a sacred tree - venerated, visited, endlessly represented - anachronistic in age weaving Robin Hood and St Oswald and the frontier forts and tribes of the Roman wall - and now felled like the druids’ groves
We are shocked and desperately saddened to learn that the famous Sycamore Gap tree at Hadrian's Wall has been felled overnight, in what appears to be an act of vandalism.
We know just how much this iconic tree is loved locally, nationally and by everyone who has visited.
We are working with our partners to understand what has happened and what can be done.
The incident has also been reported to the police.
Spotted on the side of Hampstead Town Hall - the old Borough of Hampstead coat of arms. Filled with symbols representing the various owners of the Manor of Hampstead going back to Anglo-Saxon times.
Found another... well four actually! On either side of the two green benches on Haverstock Hill, outside Greenberry Hill and Kavanagh's. The wood appears more modern, but how old are these metal sides to the benches? #BelsizePark#hiddenhistory
@RestIsPolitics Did Alastair or Rory see Sylvia, the musical based on the life of Sylvia Pankhurst at The Old Vic, and if so what was their view on the portrayal of the Pankhursts, the Churchills, Kier Hardy & other big political figures from the era?
@AndywXIII also gives us his alternative landmark, a brilliant bit of industrial history in north Wales, bringing a conclusion to this very Welsh episode 🏴
The latest episode of The Benjamin's Britain podcast is out, and this time we're joined by @AndywXIII to discuss Milford Haven, the stunning landing site of Henry Tudor's invasion force on 7 August 1485.

It's tricky to find, but hidden on the Pembrokeshire coast, sitting above Mill Bay on the Dale Peninsula, is a wonderful plaque to mark the landmark. You've got to work hard to access this one, but it's worth the walk!
Great article. Always fascinating to read about medieval Jewish history in Britain, but even better to be able to visit the (few but special) sites which still exist and tell those stories:

We visited Blackpool Pleasure Beach on a gloriously sunny winter's day last year, pictured here with The Big One - briefly the world's tallest roller-coaster.
We're back! To open Season 4 of the Benjamin's Britain podcast we're joined by @MiddletonHist to talk through the history of the iconic seaside town of Blackpool, its Pleasure Beach, drag scene and social culture.
