Who I Am and Why I Write
I’ve been writing poetry for over 13 years. What started as quiet reflection slowly became a lifelong habit — a way to shape thought, emotion, and stillness into something that could outlast the moment that gave rise to it.
My books include The Nested Soul, Journeys Through the Tapestry, and Beginnings and Ends. Each explores different themes — from spiritual introspection to the patterns of human experience, to nature’s quiet logic.
I believe poetry isn’t just an art, but a structure for understanding. Different poetic forms carry different kinds of weight. A sonnet gives gravity to ethical tension. A ballad carries narrative like breath. Free verse, when done with care, can dissolve the frame entirely — and sometimes that’s what a moment needs.
I respect what Ezra Pound opened in the early 20th century — a shift toward raw immediacy. But structure still has its place. To me, rhyme and rhythm aren’t old—they’re timeless, when used with purpose.
Above all, I write for those who think with feeling — who believe that clarity is more powerful than cleverness, and that quiet truth is still worth seeking.
I’ve stepped back from platforms that reward interruption more than reflection.
I’m still here, quietly—but the work now lives elsewhere.
If it speaks to you, follow the thread.

BookTrib recently published a thoughtful review of Energy Fields: The Coherence of Being.
One line especially stayed with me:
“A searching, lyrical exploration of consciousness, love and the universe as different expressions of one unfolding harmony.”
At its heart, the book asks questions most of us eventually face in one form or another:
What are we?
How are we connected?
And what, if anything, holds it all together?

Forgiveness is not forgetting.
The fracture remains.
But the system refuses
to continue organizing itself
around the wound.
What returns is not innocence
but coherence—
the slow reassembly
of what hatred
would have left in ruin.

The house was not haunted by spirits
but by repetition.
Every silence returned
to the same corner.
Every shadow resumed
its previous shape.
Some structures remember
what should have faded.

Fury is not chaos.
It is structure under pressure.
A system forced
beyond what it can hold
does not break quietly.
It amplifies.
What we call fury
is the moment
containment fails.

The tactician does not move first.
He studies the field
Patterns repeat
Errors reveal themselves
What appears as decision
is often elimination
The path is not chosen
It is what remains
when all other structures collapse

The Woven Earth is now available.
It explores the systems that bind life together—from soil and root to planetary balance.
Not as a study of nature, but as a recognition of our place within it.

I started writing poetry because it allowed a single idea to stand without explanation.
Over time, the ideas became philosophical.
The natural move would have been prose.
I didn’t switch.
Prose expands. Verse compresses.
Line breaks force decisions.
They prevent thought from dissolving into explanation.
The form isn’t aesthetic.
It’s structural.
If reality is a continuous field rather than a collection of separate things, then the question is no longer what we believe—but how we recognize it.

The system does not move in lines.
It stabilizes in loops.
A thought returns.
A pattern repeats.
A structure holds—not because it ends,
but because it closes on itself.
We call it repetition.
But it is coherence finding its shape.

When science reaches its limits,
the question isn’t what to believe—
but whether our model of reality is large enough.

@Siimpihlakx If preference is recognition of coherence, then what emerges next may not be new capacities, but deeper alignment — the ability to participate more fully in the patterns being recognized.

This is a beautiful piece. What stands out is how naturally the poem moves from simple, grounded imagery into something much larger. The progression feels organic, not forced, and gives the ending real weight.
The last stanza struck me. It touches on something deeper about identity and presence that the rest of the poem builds toward without ever stating it outright.
