Casual enumerators contracted by the Ministry of Labour for data collection in counties including Kajiado, Machakos, Elgeyo Marakwet, Nyandarua, Kirinyaga, Meru, Migori, Nyamira, Bungoma, Homabay, Kakamega and Mombasa have not been paid since June. Even after multiple requests, team leaders in Nairobi keep responding arrogantly. Enumerators who took loans to fulfill their duties are now under pressure from creditors.
