The responses to the question have mostly just been “because the cops get paid,” and I just don’t find that to be a very compelling answer. Nor should anyone else.

@BigNapzzz@PoliceThePolic1 It is what you’re saying though. You’re saying that because police will *eventually* arrive at an incident, there is no reason for anyone else to intervene, regardless of the exigency. That is the argument you’ve made.
