Why is there Indian people in my hinduism and buddhism show

[Ben @BenWave10]

@jamiepersonaI @colombianps6 I mean I love Pat Cummins lol and I'd want him in my team over say Henry/Hazlewood but Bumrah's a fucking freak

[Ben @BenWave10]

@colombianps6 @jamiepersonaI you're telling me a 2.2 average gap over 220 wickets is not big?
it's the same gap normalized for bob willis and max walker, warne and broad, and kapil dev and ishant sharma lmao

[Ben @BenWave10]

@jamiepersonaI @colombianps6 cummins' sample size is smaller though

Modern society isn't made for older geographical borders. This is an insulated world view. Don't go to another country and act uppity. No I think he was acting normal and the people of the country are horrific. Globalization should be normalized.

> sounds unreal but I checked and it's true

[Arnaud Bertrand @RnaudBertrand]

This sounds completely unreal but I double checked and it's true: the Eiffel Tower was closed on Monday due to a Hindu sect that demanded that all women "make themselves invisible" so their 93-year-old guru wouldn't have to see them.

The sect in question is BAPS - "Bochasanwasi Akshar Purushottam Swaminarayan Sanstha," which roughly translates to "the organization of Swaminarayan followers who believe in Akshar Purushottam, based in Bochasan" (a village in Gujarat).

It's a very wealthy organization with deep ties to Modi's BJP (Modi is himself from Gujarat), known for building mega-temples around the world and whose doctrine demands absolute obedience to a living guru as the sole path to God.

It's not their first controversy: in 2021, the FBI raided their massive New Jersey temple after workers - mostly Dalits, India's lowest caste (the so-called "untouchables") - alleged they'd been lured to the US on fake religious visas, had their passports confiscated, and were forced to work 13-hour days for about $1 an hour, confined to a guarded compound (see https://t.co/kTNzdZWtoe).

Long story short, they just opened a new mega-temple in France (the website: https://t.co/4g6HW9bBPy) - specifically in Bussy-Saint-Georges (30km away from Paris) - presented as "the biggest Hindu temple built in continental Europe in a traditional style" (https://t.co/exbFjzLe2k).

Their guru was there for the inauguration and, as you do, wanted to visit the Eiffel Tower while in France. But, thing is, his doctrine dictates that women must not be in his presence.

And here is where it gets unreal: when his entourage requested a private visit, the Eiffel Tower's management actually agreed to the terms and ordered all female employees - including subcontractors - to hide (https://t.co/Sm7yb5LMFq).

This was on Saturday and, France being France (in a good way), on Monday the women who'd been told to make themselves invisible made themselves very, very visible: the staff went on strike and shut down the Eiffel Tower.

So there you have it, unreal but true: the Eiffel Tower, symbol of the French Republic, is closed because a 93-year-old Hindu guru refuses to be in the presence of women.

(picture below the picture of their guru on his visit, taken from https://t.co/4FRKezWJvq)

They never question the ECB or CA do they? Also the BCCI = Indians but the ECB != English and CA != Australians.

As an Australian the biggest change you can make is to protest against the CA. Change the reps. Make sure they don't vote with the BCCI, hold them accountable. Don't give Jay Shah what he wants.

[Lenny Phillips @lenphil29]

World Cup schedule ticks all the Jay Shah boxes
- Ind/Pak in same group
- they are fixtured on a Sunday
- India play minnow to finish group stage in case they need NRR hit
- India pre seeded to play low ranked team last game of super 7s

Just really dire stuff as usual

[Ben @BenWave10]

Jordan Cox is obviously an incredible player and should be playing for england no matter who's fit

[Ben @BenWave10]

When will the indian management realize that wrist spin has variance and needs pace and bounce of the pitch.

Wasted kuldeep in the BGT 24, we would have fun with two good bowlers.

Play him anywhere where there's speed and bounce, play finger spin on slow surfaces.

[Ben @BenWave10]

insane comeback

[Ben @BenWave10]

she's doing exactly what mithali did to her, it's crazy

[Aditya Saha @Adityakrsaha]

State of Indian women's cricket is so bad that Smriti Mandhana has to run a PR campaign to push her case to become the next Indian captain because Harmanpreet Kaur just won't leave 'captaincy' position even after being 37 years old like it's high time she should step down.

[Ben @BenWave10]

Identity politics for tamil eelam always being against india baffles the mind because unlike other separatist movements they heavily borrow cultural practices from the two countries they fight with no land or history of their own yet one power was allied to support your existence

[nah 🪏 @bhuviratdilfs]

they were asking for better and accurate representation of india globally, now they got it lol

[Ben @BenWave10]

That 4x400 was fun to watch. The hottest team came last lol

[Ben @BenWave10]

Aggressive? Pat Cummins was 10x more aggressive when NKR wasn't given out during the melbourne test. He was in the Umpire's face and got a review!
It's hilarious how eng and aus wouldn't even be in the position to be aggresive because they wouldn't play japan in the first place

[Daniel Cherny @DanielCherny]

It’s almost immaterial whether it was a wide or not. The game falls apart if an umpire’s decision can be overturned following aggressive gesticulation from a player.

[Ben @BenWave10]

@Hitheregoize @tickerscricket knocking you out twice!

[Ben @BenWave10]

@Hitheregoize @tickerscricket lol so you admit you were wrong then and knocking you out of the only t20 competition to matter is getting sweeter everyday
I'm glad you're having fun celebrating participation trophies in bilaterals!
