All this United can't go for a World Cup manager is nonsense and spin! International coaches get 8 months a year off already. They won't need a couple of weeks off after the World cup. So most of them will be available mid July if not start of July

🚨Man Utd are NOT expecting to sign a new midfielder today. Little chance of Kobbie Mainoo leaving after Matheus Cunha and Mason Mount were injured at the weekend. Utd set to stick with a midfield group of Bruno Fernandes, Casemiro, Manuel Ugarte, Mainoo & Mount.

Amorim is obviously at fault, but if we look further up, the sporting department sat down, looked at the squad, and agreed that it would be better to spend 200 million on forwards rather than sign a midfielder as the priority. I was always worried about this, and thus tweeted it before the window even started. There is nothing to it except gross incompetence; these guys simply do not understand football as well as they are required to at Manchester United. Baleba and one forward would have comfortably led to the team performing much better than the three forwards who have been signed. A new coach will obviously help, but there is a serious need for difficult conversations to be had with the sporting department.
