Saying “He can’t learn” is the biggest cop out when it comes to coaching.
Everyone learns differently.
Some can visualize, some need the film, some need the whiteboard, some need to go on the actual field. Some may need all of it lol
Truly help them before you dismiss them.
Kyle Shanahan said, “The guys that I like are the guys that I know what I am getting. They’re not too high or too low. I know what is going to show up every day.”
Consistency is what creates excellence.
It builds trust and shows that you are reliable.
Consistency isn't about perfection, it's about effort and showing up.
Being consistent with your actions and character is what creates growth.
5 Things to Know About Consistency:
Prioritize Goals Over Mood - It means choosing daily discipline over how you feel. Set your sights on your long-term goals, not your fleeting feelings. Your actions should reflect your future aspirations and when you take action, your mood will follow.
Live the Details and Embrace the Boredom - Embrace the daily grind accepting that is where true growth happens. Perform with precision and practice with detailed concentration. This focus and precision is what cultivates discipline and leads to mastery.
Schedule It and Prioritize It - Make your priorities non-negotiable by knowing when and where they will happen. This ensures that your most important things aren't overlooked, but are part of your daily routine. Plan your day around your goals, not the other way around.
Remember Your WHY - Your 'why' is the heart of your persistence. Keep your core motivations at the forefront of your mind. This constant reminder will help you be resilient when you feel that fear, uncertainty, and doubt.
Choose Consistency Over Perfection - Strive for regular progress, not flawless execution or perfection. You won't be perfect and you will miss a day, but hold yourself accountable to keeping it up. This mindset prevents discouragement and promotes a growth-mindset.

Young WRs should be paying attention to what @49ers vet WR Chris Conley is doing tonight. Main reason why former third-rounder is in his eighth season (with fifth different team) because of his willingness to embrace and excel on ST. Great lesson for those willing to take notice.
I gotta say, bc I watch a lot of tape each week… Bad FBall, Bad Details drives me crazy… is it coaches not knowing what they don’t know? Is it players not executing what they are taught? Is it inability to react in the moment? Whatever it is - every play should be addressed w/ WHY & WHAT by all involved when installed!
WHY do we read it like this? WHAT are my answers vs different coverages?
WHY do we run it from this formation/motion?
WHY do we block it like this? And with that WHAT are my answers vs different pressures?
WHY are the routes run with these details?
Asking the questions matter! Knowing the answers matters! Executing based on those things matters!
Every week I question my computer screen saying “Why are you doing it like that?” What is the QB supposed to do in that situation? Is there a reason for it all - bc if so I really want to know the WHY!?
