A4-2: Use pier and beam foundation when designing close to trees. #ModernMonday

[Bercy Chen Studio LP @BercyChenStudio]

A4-1: Design the foundation to follow the topography. Split levels follow the slope. #ModernMonday

[Bercy Chen Studio LP @BercyChenStudio]

A3-1: Harsh summer conditions can be mitigated by solar orientation, passive cooling and shade structures. #ModernMonday

[Bercy Chen Studio LP @BercyChenStudio]

A2-1: We tend to create a continuum between the indoors and outdoors by utilizing large openings. #ModernMonday

[Bercy Chen Studio LP @BercyChenStudio]

A1-3: Blur the barriers of indoors and outdoors by using reflective materials that mirror the landscape.#ModernMonday

[Bercy Chen Studio LP @BercyChenStudio]

A1-2: Natural light connects the indoor and outdoor spaces in a home. Specific openings can act as sundials and visualize time.#ModernMonday

[Bercy Chen Studio LP @BercyChenStudio]

A1-1: Our homes borrow exterior spaces to make the interior feel more expansive, blurring the inside/out boundary. #ModernMonday
