Today, we reflect on the life & contributions of Assist. Chief Barry Miller. Five years ago, Barry selflessly gave his life to save someone he had never met. Barry may no longer be with us, but he lives on in each member of the BFD https://t.co/hy4S4rZ9na

Your BFD celebrates the 911 dispatchers @ Genesee Co. during this National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week. Their dedicated team takes our calls of crisis, provide life saving direction & sends Fire, EMS or PD to assist. They do so with great precision and professionalism.
Forecasts suggest dangerous winds tomorrow. If you come upon a firefighter blocking a road, simply obey their direction without discussion. Don’t stop to ask questions. If you are detoured & are unfamiliar with the roads, go away from the firefighter, pull over and set your GPS.
Kids: Thank you so much for your help. We placed some 🥕 in the firehall and the 🐰 returned our 🚒
Everyone at your Bergen Fire Department wishes you and your family an awesome Easter Sunday.
We know a lot of us are cooped up, eager to get out & tackle those chores. Your BFD team is working hard to proactively handle the Covid 19 crisis. Help us by not violating the NYS burn ban. It will take us, as well as PD, away from the pressing issues we face. JUST DON'T DO IT!
Early Saturday morning extraction training. Great job to everyone who made the time to come do some training yesterday!
We got some time in using our Hurst tools and getting more familiar with potential extraction situations.
Congrats to our member of the month Julia Menzie! Julia passed her EMT class and is a great teammate. “I was really interested in helping others and thought this was a cool way to do it and meet new friends. I have fun at the firehouse and hope more kids my age join."#JoinTheBFD
