🧵"If looks could kill, I wouldn't be here anymore. That's what I think when the two young Palestinians lift their heads up and look me straight in the eyes. There's so much open, blatant hatred in their gaze..."
Dana Spector is a long-time mainstream pseudo-journalist who normally writes personal columns and braindead lifestyle/feel-good pieces. A supposed "liberal". Yet with her column for Yedioth Ahronoth's last Friday's paper, about a mixed male-female battalion ("Panther Battalion) stationed in the West Bank village of Hableh, she managed to produce one of the most racist, demonizing and dehumanizing pieces I've seen, which, as you know, is not an easy feat in ZNazi Isra-hell.
Following are translated excerpts from her column, in the order they appear in the full piece. Link to the full column (in Hebrew) can be found at the end of this long thread.
Unless I mention otherwise, quotes are by the author.

The US has quietly deployed 82nd Airborne paratroopers to Israel, per deployment order leaked to me.
The deployment is tied to new US-Israel joint contingency plans for seizing Kharg Island and carving out coastal territory inside Iran.

Rep. Josh Gottheimer’s characterization of the exchange is a significant distortion of what Maine voter Laurie Hudson actually said.
Hudson did not say that “an Israeli flag is worse than a Nazi symbol.” Speaking at a Graham Platner rally in Portland on Sunday, she suggested that Platner’s mistakenly acquired Nazi-affiliated skull tattoo from decades ago is less problematic to her than an Israeli flag tattoo today, because Israel is carrying out a genocide in Gaza.
“Today, the same settler who attacked my home by throwing stones six weeks ago returned and threatened to take over my house. He openly stated that the police had done nothing to hold him accountable and that the government was on his side. When perpetrators act with apparent impunity and victims are left without protection, it creates the perception of state-backed intimidation and terror against Palestinian communities.
A surveillance camera caught a brutal assault by an Israeli soldier and settlers on two young Palestinians in the occupied West Bank.
Video shows the victims being thrown to the ground and repeatedly beaten, including with a wooden plank, leaving them motionless.
Reports from international monitors, local residents, solidarity activists, and human rights groups confirm that Israeli settler attacks involving the torching of Palestinian crops, olive groves, and agricultural fields have dramatically escalated across the occupied West Bank.

💢 Seven-Month-Old Infant Killed After Israeli Forces Open Fire on Family Car in Hebron
Israeli occupation forces shot and killed seven-month-old Sam Fahd Abu Haikal on Friday after opening live fire on his family’s vehicle in the Tel Rumeida area of Hebron in the occupied West Bank, according to WAFA.
The infant was struck in the jaw by the same bullet that wounded his mother. His father, Bethlehem University lecturer Fahd Abdul Aziz Abu Haikal, was shot in the hand. The family was traveling from Bethlehem to visit the mother’s family in Hebron when soldiers opened fire on their car in the Wadi al-Hariya neighborhood.
Sam died of his wounds Friday evening. His parents sustained moderate injuries.
Hebron | A bullet to the head turns a mother’s embrace into a crime scene. A 7-month-old infant was critically injured, and his parents were wounded, after Israeli occupation forces opened fire unexpectedly at their vehicle in the Wad al-Hariya area of Hebron.
New ad with $600k behind it is out, backing @DarializaforNY.
It features Noor Khalil, Mahmoud Khalil's wife, talking about how Adriano Espaillat abandoned them when Mahmoud was snatched. Constituent service matters! This is from the anti-AIPAC super PAC

Now The Economist is reporting about how the Israeli military grabbed Palestinians and used them as human shields
All of sudden the taboo against admitting all of the uncivilized Israeli behavior during the war has been broken
A tenured professor of art therapy was suspended by her university and placed under formal investigation for the crime of using a Palestinian in a hypothetical example for uses of art therapy.
This is not 10th grade. It's a college, for adult students.

The GOP in Georgia doing all this demagoguery about MARTA but they’ve controlled the state for more than 20 years. They’ve never wanted to fund public transit and transit security. Look at their deeds not their words. #gapol
Yesterday, the IDF seized 4 students from their homes in the West Bank, including 20-year-old American, Sama Safi.
The Israeli govt didn’t tell her family or the U.S. Embassy where or why she was being taken & is holding her without charges.
America must secure her release NOW.
The Iran War Powers Resolution that I cosponsored (opposing the war) just passed the House of Representatives.
The People’s House is sending a message: end this war.

Heartbreaking moments from the funeral of Theodosia Karam, her brother Tony and their father James in Qlayaa, southern Lebanon. James was driving his children home from their exams when an Israeli drone killed them
Netanyahu saying it was “my plan to shift the framework for U.S.-Israel defense cooperation from aid to partnership.”
We had Josh Paul on BP this morning to break down what this means. It would give Israel extraordinary leverage over the U.S. by embedding their technology in our supply chains and weapons systems.
Israel has used American-supplied munitions to kill tens of thousands of innocent civilians.
America is morally obligated to end support of Israel’s devastation of Gaza and its people. I’m cosponsoring the Block the Bombs Act to limit the transfer of offensive weapons to Israel.
