Cancel student debt for all, regardless of income, educational, or professional status. These times have been calling for bold action to allow generations to reset equitably beyond degrees obtained. Furthermore, many elected the president with hope for educational debt liberation
@bostonchamber Thank you @bostonchamber for having me! I had such a wonderful time presenting on a topic so intersectionally near & dear. So many women are deserving of the #PinnacleAward and are positively changing the world as we know it! Keep shining your light, sisters! The world needs you!
Casually laying on the couch this evening thinking about how I could ever thank Congresswoman @AyannaPressley for her advocacy regarding #Student#Debt#Cancellation. I’m a #FirstGen#BlackWoman generationally combating poverty I was born into, one degree/career move at a time.
Student debt cancellation is high-impact policy that would bring transformational relief to our most vulnerable—especially Black & brown borrowers.
@POTUS must #CancelStudentDebt.
1 year later. 58 years later. Our fight continues, and our movement is strong.
Protect voting rights.
Invest in our communities.
Abolish the filibuster.
Make it plain.
#EmmettTill was dehumanized, tortured and murdered by white supremacists 66 years ago today.
We must never forget Emmett’s life, the brutal way it was ended, the past and present dangers of racism, and the courage of his mother, Mamie Till-Mobley.
#SayHerName and #SayHisName . . . Tell me, tell us; what happens when the list of names keeps getting longer, and it’s not that we can’t say their names, but that there are too many names to remember to say?
The jury did their part to bring #JusticeForGeorgeFloyd. Now, it’s time that Judge Peter Cahill do the same. Sentencing and serving time must still take place for #DerekChauvin
Awaiting the verdict of what has been decided on by the jury in the #DerekChauvinTrial is scary. #GeorgeFloyd should still be alive and the results of this case will be another lens of insight to us all, in and out of #America. What does radical change and bravery look like?
No child should have to experience a teacher’s or a student’s hands to their hair with scissors to CUT IT OFF, yet this 7 yr old girl experienced it from both.
#Protect our #girls. This is #trauma. When will we accept everyone in all #hair types & shades? https://t.co/stlUMtPzMn
@AyannaPressley Thank you for your commitment to abolishing student loan debt! It’ll change the lives of so many by decreasing the opportunity and economic gap for the historically marginalized and others in more ways than one.
