@GolfloverUK@ScottONeilLIV@livgolf_league I would be done with these SOBs. Bring in big league lawyers and a huge lawsuit. Maybe $1b just to get US media’s attention. They either name sources or sink. Would also include individuals once it is known who.
@GolfloverUK@JonRahmOfficial@LegionXIIIgc There is nobody in golf who can articulate their thoughts on the game more clearly and intelligently than Jon Rahm. He is the perfect superstar.
I’ll be honest, as someone who supports LIV Golf.
The idea of the league collapsing makes me sad. Because underneath all the noise, LIV exposed something professional golf desperately needed:
The sport has been dying for a true global league.
Not just bigger purses or elevated events. A modern product built around worldwide stars, team identity, entertainment, and younger fans who consume sports differently than previous generations.
The easy reaction is to focus on the money burned. The more interesting conversation is how much @livgolf_league forced golf to evolve in only a few years.
@PGATOUR changed.
Player leverage changed.
Media changed.
Broadcast conversations changed.
How fans talk about golf changed.
Was LIV perfect? No.
But I think history will look back at the league differently than people do right now. Golf has operated like a series of disconnected kingdoms for decades. LIV was the first real attempt to build something global and modern at scale.
And honestly, whether people loved it or hated it, the sport needed disruption.
@MattVincenziPGA Great playing by Caleb, he seems to be reaping the rewards of his three years on LIV and Legion XIII as he continues to improve his skills. Will ne watching.
@Cleeks_GolfClub@MKaymer59@livgolf_league He’s such a good player, even when he was struggling. A tough course this past week and his game held up extremely well. Sunny days ahead for this man.👏
And I don’t think it’s a coincidence that a PGA Tour player took his own life not long after Joel Beall wrote a politically charged hit piece at his highest professional moment despite knowing about his ongoing mental health struggles. 🤷♂️
@mrmckee Rory only likes courses that hand him a big advantage. Think August, Bay Hill etc. A great course and set up gives players with varying strengths and opportunity to display their skills. This is what professional golf needs more of.
@livgolf_league@LegionXIIIgc@JonRahmOfficial One of the many great things about Jon is that he never ever stops grinding. When you hear a guy say finishing 46th is better than 47th or shooting 74 is better than 75 you know he will keep coming. He lives to compete and win.
@MattVincenziPGA Anybody who’s actually watched this man play over the last few years knows he can really play, just time needed. Few remember he won at Riviera just before heading to LIV. Big title at that time.
@arlowhite Arlo, those with the lowest view of themselves and have accomplished the least are always the first to try to bring others down to their level. That would be Eamon Lynch and pretty much all of the bot and paid for PGAT shills. Sad.
