@Joseph_Boam The problem in politics. Once elected politicians forget they are elected to represent everyone, not just the people who voted for them. They also see getting 1/3 of the vote as a ‘strong’ mandate, whilst it means the majority did not vote for them and their policies.
@realjessica When did DEI become to mean a less qualified person was hired? Thought it meant if there are 2 equally qualified people for the job to hire the minority person, not by default give it to the white man. It was never meant to mean a less qualified person should be hired.
@drdavidbull The silent majority was at home or work getting on with their lives, not blaming everyone else for their problems, realising that that vast majority of immigrants make a positive contribution.
@RupertLowe10@RupertLowe10 may I suggest the right also needs to stop their insults and abuse. You want to be a leader? Learn to unite instead of dividing. Unfortunately in modern times dividing gets you more views and higher in the algorithm.
@pritipatel@pritipatel were you not in govt when all those covid contracts were handed out to cronies? Maybe look at your own party first before jumping on the high horse.
@Conservatives@mimsdavies@conservatives@mimsdavies you had 14 years to try do do that, why should we believe this time will be any different with less scandals about friends getting juicy contracts without delivering?
@trussliz And yet opec+ has just announced an increase in production that will make gas & oil production in the uk and the US a lossmaking proposition
@MelJStride Well, to just slightly correct this: we are paying the price for 14 years of conservative mismanagement which is taking a bit longer to clean up than people want to admit.
@trussliz You were a member of government for how long? Even PM! None of this came to mind when you were in power? You had ample time to change things but were too busy trying to get reelected and becoming PM…
