In my travels north and south along the Rocky Mountains, I began examining the mountains and canyons looking for ground level archeoplanetography (apg) examples.

That's when I began to notice something strange...beheaded statues, lots of them miles apart.

The subject was often seated or was a carved bust kind of like Mount Rushmore's presidents are.

At the time, I didn't have a good way to capture the images I was seeing.

However, I did find a super example in a photo from Colorado.
