Health Minister @mikenesbittni saying 'reach out to services' to parents of children with disabilities shows a complete disconnect. Waiting lists for a disability social worker – the gatekeepers to services – are several years long. A nice soundbite, but far from reality.
Health Minister Mike Nesbitt has announced plans to improve services for children with disabilities.
The plans involve increasing short breaks capacity and expanding family, therapeutic and behavioural supports in the community.
