Joseph Rowntree Foundation @jrf_uk... devastating data out today
The number of children living in DESTITUTION has TRIPLED in 5 yrs to ONE MILLION CHILDREN.
6th largest economy in the world and Tories are hell bent on destroying everything & creating further division.
They are a disgrace.
I grew up in poverty in 1960s and it's hard for these kids, very hard.
Such a powerful speech, from the heart, about Suella Braverman's views on multiculturalism in Britain from

Have you tried finding information to support couples with learning disability when one partner has dementia? We couldn't find any either so we developed our own. Watch our video at https://t.co/PQMjbU3e1V #LDWeek23

NHS nurses hold the hands, tend the wounds, save the lives, wash the dead. They comfort us, console us, diagnose us, save us. They toil & smile & endlessly care.
Not a single NHS nurse wants to strike tomorrow. They’re desperate.
Please show NHS nurses some love. Please RT 💙
The Tories have destroyed our NHS.

My daughter was prescribed Clarithromycin late this afternoon by a GP. We couldn't get an appointment until 4.30 as there is a shortage of doctors due to government cuts. We had to drive to a different town. In freezing conditions.
A&E staff really don't have enough training to manage people in a mental health crisis. Here's my experience of being in A&E during a mental health crisis and how things can be approached differently 🧵
One of my patients has dementia and won’t settle on night shift. He used to be a doctor. We’ve already been on our tea break, had coffee and a muffin, and he’s reviewing some ECGs I’ve given him. He falls asleep every now and then, but I think he’s doing a good job. ☺️
I’ve been thinking about this piece for a year. There’s so much more I could say. The only thing that matters is that Martha should be alive today…

If I were advising the UK Prime Minister, I would tell them to make a televised statement to the nation tonight (or very soon) along the following lines:
1. We are in an energy crisis. This crisis is having a dreadful effect on everyone’s finances. And it is going to get worse.
Hi @BobEggleton1 Max(age 5) wanted to show you his copy of your artwork. He loves drawing monsters and often creates his own too. He loves your monster creations and was so excited looking through this book!
4 days since I was diagnosed with a kidney stone stuck in my ureter and I have experienced such a wide range of responses from health professionals. In many ways I wish a vet was in charge of my care. A thread:
A non-verbal black teenager was arrested by the police and detained by the Home Office, who prepared his deportation to Nigeria.
But he’s a British citizen, who has never left Britain and was missing from a Kent hospital.
How is that anything but horrific racism?
But I fear it's happening somewhere every single day when hospital or care staff forget that a willing family carer is not a visitor but a member of the patient's team - possibly making the crucial difference been survival or not.
