Resurfaced clip of Kathy Griffin in 2004 talking about muslims
"It's such a wonderful culture for women, unless you have a clitoris and you're 13... the muslims are not your friend"
I guess this is before TDS took over

🚨 Just the Facts
You probably don’t think of yourself as a follower. Yet many of us support psych-ops daily.
In Solomon Asch’s 1950s line-judgment experiments, roughly 75% of participants conformed at least once to a group’s obviously wrong answer on a task so simple that control subjects erred less than 1% of the time. About one-third of critical responses matched the incorrect majority. Afterward, many said they knew the right answer but went along to avoid standing out.
A 2023 replication by Franzen and Mader in PLOS One (N=210) produced a 33% error rate on the classic line task, matching Asch’s original findings, and a 38% conformity rate when the same pressure was applied to political statements. Even when participants were paid for correct answers, the error rate only fell to 25%, showing that social influence still operates.
Psychologist Irving Janis described groupthink as the point where a group’s drive for unanimity overrides realistic appraisal of alternatives. Documented cases include the Bay of Pigs invasion and the Challenger launch decision, where warnings were discounted and dissent was suppressed.
Social media scales the same pressure. Visible consensus (likes, shares, trending labels, and rapid influencer takes) creates the appearance of tribal agreement.
Chase Hughes analysis of the psych op is real…engineered consensus overrides personal judgment at scale.
Current conditions make the pattern visible. Short-form thinkfluencer explainers and anxiety-driven content (including AI) reward speed and alignment over scrutiny. Online pile-ons and call-outs raise the social cost of disagreement.
A recent UK poll found three in four people believe it is harder to think freely today. Groups often follow a flawed idea because the immediate cost of breaking consensus feels higher than the cost of being wrong.
Independent voices are punished precisely because they threaten that cohesion. Asch’s own follow-ups showed that a single dissenting voice sharply reduced conformity.
The pressure is quiet and ordinary. The facts are measurable.
My take. And strong advisement. If we cannot check the evidence directly, question it…even from the horses mouth. COVID is the most tragic example.
